BRAZILIAN SOCCER - POETRY IN MOTION
(Dedicated to all Brazilian fans)

Unrivalled for their soccer skill
Brazil is here for the kill
the perennial favorite to win the cup
non dependent on their luck

with fluke and fortune nursing them
Italy emerged as champions though
but in 20-10 their title they defend
an impossible task of that why pretend

When style and skill nurtures
Roonies and Messi's look amateurs
Sad you play for second place
Not competing with Brazilian blaze

Pope and Keats used their pen
Kaka and Robinho does it with their fingers ten
when Brazil enters the field in passion
it is poetry in motion

With Amazonian borders around me
Brazilian soccer astounds me
see and savour soccer real
and you will adieu all jokers clear.!

Great ado ..... for what..??!!

All channels and printed medias are occupied since Saah Re Ga, an Indian actor and self proclaimed badshah was held back for secondary investigations at an US airport. He was in transit to another US city. The immigration officer refused to fall for the story that he is (was) an Indian superstar. In a press statement the official said, “He looks nothing like a superstar. He is clearly lying!!”

Meanwhile news of his detention spread like wildfire and created more havoc than flu in India and the regular remarking faces appeared in their usual made up style to comment.

Gym Khan was the first to plead …. With 10 ka Dum he declared….Saah Ru Ga was insulted..!! Was it a peace making comment, or a hidden celebration..? I suspect the second.

Parminder Singh, who believes in his acting said “These Americans are such airheads!!! Any kid can give you the dirt on Saah Ru Ga. We need to make a big stink about this so that this is not repeated. What a bummer!”

Saah Re Gaa is an Indian superstar …. Detaining and questioning him is a sin …. Ridiculous. Criyanka Popra ….. GET REAL!!!!”

Tasi Saroor thought Saah Re Ga acted with “Great Dignity”… should make sure that these things will not happen again. Shame on you Mr. Sharoor … this is not the way you combat controversies..!!

Reporters interviewing the stars were seen consulting the “The Complete Book of American Slang – Eighth Edition” before sending in their stories for publishing. They are hoping that the US authorities will not hold back prominent Indians in India in the US in future as it causes considerable delays in getting the story to the press. The Press Distrust of India met the US Ambassador in New Delhi and handed over a letter of protest in this regard in UK English. The Ambassador has promised to look into the matter as soon as he can get the letter translated into US English.

Meanwhile the Minister for Nothing Ms. Sambika Aoni has said that the situation calls for a ‘tit for tat’ treatment for Americans. Hey … excuse me … agree that you are a minister by chance … but as per protocol you have some restrictions …. “tit for tat” ..!! Are you still in Indrajal comic world..!!?

The announcement though, has catapulted India into the 'Most Preferred Destination' for Americans in 2009. According to George Simon, an American who is planning to visit India, “Tit for tat sounds great. But what is “tat’? Is it legal ?”

Few were realistic on their comments..! Pajji with his “Doosra” commented … big deal!! this happens to everybody. An Indian diplomat nodded … no wonder there were no blasts reported in USA after 9/11. High time India learned from the US.!

We saw father of modern India being checked by US officials, and the reaction he had. Did I hear him swearing.? I will not visit US hereafter, nor use a US flights for my travel..!! No way. Why is Saah Ree Gaa upset when the securities were on their duty..?! Are these (Bad) shah’s carrying security privileges and immunities...? Yehi hai Class Difference baby!!

Reporters were seen running helter-skelter to get quotes from all kind of actors on the subject, and every Indian actor and actress worth their salt have been haranguing them for airtime. Mr. Jhun Jhun Wala, a harried reporter said that the Actor were stalking him 24 hours of the day and he was being followed by helicopter borne actors if he stepped out of his house. Some Actors are camping outside his house and some have even taken up positions on the tress outside his house. Another reporter on vacation had Actors troubling him as he sunbathed with his family on the Kovalam beach. He was forced to cut short his vacation and get back to his now secured apartment in Mumbai. The reporters complain that it is highly stressful to live under the constant vigil of the stars. They are used to the other way..! One reporter declared himself affected with H1NI to hoodwink the Actors. According to him “The actors are now wary of me and keep their distance from me..!!

News has come …. Dravid has finally made it to the ODI teams. The wall is back to defend bouncers. Three ministers have taken oath before the governor today. Kerala now have 20 ministers for better administration.!!! G. Sudhakaran lost his Devasom portfolio. Will temples lose their charm and divinity? P.J Joseph is happy to get his ministership and free air travels again not with free Arms though.!

100 mts sprint is now reaching its saturation. 9.58 secs..!! Ussain has almost Bolted it.

I have realized that I wandered away from the main topic. What was that I was into when I started..? I don’t remember and don’t want to scroll back. Lemme post it directly …. And read later…..oh … yeah … now I remember …. Tit for tat..!!

My Jango......

Gautam Sai is his name, and I call him Jango. Don’t know why, but today I felt like I should write something about him. He was playing when I was leaving for office. He smiled at me and then wanted to come with me. I felt sad when I was walking in the corridor. Somewhere inside, I felt heartrending. Along with many other twinge, i could not allocate a space for this and it started poping.
I wanted to play with him for some time, but was already late to the office. I know, I can see him after one hour from now when I return home. But he was there the whole day today with me, even while attending an important meeting.
This, I feel could be the ‘Father - Son relation'…. or is it..?

Love you Jango….!

Demos were crazy …. Still it is Democracy..!!

I could not sleep on May 15th night. Not ‘coz of the holiday the next day (May16th, 2009) being a Saturday... My sleeplessness was because all Indians were eager to know …. Who is going to rule us … for the next 5 years or till its early expiry..!!

We saw congress preaching stability, BJP rolling their chariot which previously raised them from 2 to 183, CPM attempting to form a third front to come up from the "Historic Blunder" and other miscellaneous with some misleading fourth front. The list was going on adding 5th, 6th and so on …

Advani challenged the PM for a public debate which PM refused. National Security Act became the veda for Varun Gandhi as he enjoyed sentiments behind the bars. Rahul was all along the constituencies with the PM and Sonia. We saw Tamil leaders backing a global terrorists and Chiranjeevi dancing for the welfare of the public. Vaijayanthi IPS was on the receiving end when un accounted lakhs were confiscated from her car. Mohd Azaruddin looked unfit in Khadi- Oakley combo, but was on, to "fix" the new role. Sasi Tharoor found UN elections less complicated than facing kerala henchmen.! Bollywood, kolly wood, tollywoods and other fire “woods” all on a sudden became so much concerned on the “welfare and development” programs of the country. But for the interference of the thrid and arguably the most important pillar of Indian democracy - the judiciary - "Khalnayak" would have made himself available in the Parliament wearing his TADA suit..!

Weber viewed that there are no morals in international politics which means states shall be at war all times. Kautilya complemented this when he believed that war is natural for a state. If we dwindle this a bit for our country on the deciding eve, we could conclude that “there are no morals in national politics… and there were too many “Kautilyas” with their “Anartha shastras” to complement this to justify their deeds.
To reach the magical figure of 272 was not easy. If you witness public auction of Manipulated Parliamentarians (MP’s) after the elections, you may not feel proud of the largest democracy … but since it is by the people, we need to accept….! Pathetic so to say. Political (self proclaimed) leaders realized very efficiently that it is better to have their own party with minimum representations rather than being attached with a big brother. In the public auction, the more you offer, the more we add for your majority.

15th night saw leaders all tight lipped. Few dreaming Deputy Prime minister posts, some wanted home ministry to close their own homicides. Railway was prerogative for few of the “reservation” parties. Sharad Pawar was in two (or more) boats since nobody could predict the direction of the tide.

Along with me all these leaders had a sleepless, though not dreamless, night.!

Dawn 16th, and thanks to electronic voting machines, in half an hour the general trend was on. Media were searching for some selected few leaders to comment, but found all of them missing. “polits” were inside the buereau, Paswan and Lalu in some derailed compartments, Puratchi thalaivi busy with LTTE issues, Chandrababu naidu shut down with viruses, and other so called “deciders” with their files corrupted.

UPA emerged victorious. The efforts of PM and Rahul found its way. Stability became the key word. Sensex skyrocketed. Touched the bull breaker three times a day.

It is said, democracy is a mere illusion that gives people a sense that they have some power over their lives but they have none. The powers get confined with a few who decides all. But Fair democracy sustain in my country now. I have a ruler who can take my country to new heights. In Gita, Lord Krishna said, every King merely represents his country and his personal interests do not come into play while facing the enemy head-on. Kautilya thinks that a King should attain three goals - must create wealth, have armies and should conquer the kingdoms and enlarge the size of his state. This is quite interesting because he in a way does believe that a state’s superiority is in its military and economic might which is what later philosophers and rulers have followed. My ruler, I am confident, will fulfill the first two, though he may abstain from the third, of conquering other kingdoms.

INC with their clinical "Italian" finish emerged as the single largest party. No big bargains from small timers. My country is on its move … to emerge as the super power. The biggest democracy - where Justice – social, economic and political are guaranteed, Liberty of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship are embedded, and equality of status and opportunity are endowed.
It is a sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, Republic.
How many other countries can claim these incomparable trait in the whole world?

Proud to be an Indian..!
